'Hunt' Cast Lauds Director Lee Jung Jae
In a report shared by Xports News, the "Hunt" cast shared what its like working with Lee Jung Jae as the director.
The upcoming espionage noir film is his directorial debut, which took him four years to finish the script.
For Jung Woo Sung, who is also Lee Jung Jae's good friend, he expressed his utmost trust in the director and pointed out how he succeeded as a filmmaker and actor.
"He made his debut successfully by overcoming both the director and the actor," he said.

In the upcoming movie, Jung Woo Sung plays Domestic Unit chief Kim Jung Do while Lee Jung Jae acts as Foreign Unit chief Park Pyong Ho.
Since both worked in National Intelligence Service (NIS), they were tasked to hunt down the person in charge of North Korean spies during the peak of the military dictatorship in the 1980s.
Unfortunately, they encountered massive discoveries and were deemed the moles for leaking top-secret intel that could put national security in danger.
Joining them is Heo Sung Tae, who previously played the villain in "Squid Game."
While "Hunt" is his reunion project with Lee Jung Jae, he shared that the actor-filmmaker was very detailed regarding directing.
He further explained, "As an actor, I was able to rely on it a lot." Moreover, Heo Sung Tae shared that director Lee Jung Jae "listened to the actors' voices" and made his instructions clear to the cast members.
In addition, Jeon Hye Jin, who plays one of the NIS agents, expressed the same sentiment and praised Lee Jung Jae for being "a director who cares about delicate details."
'Hunt' Cannes Film Awards 2022 Journey to Theatrical Release
The upcoming espionage noir movie is among the South Korean entries at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. It was officially invited to premiere at the Midnight Screening, where it received an overwhelming 7-minute-long standing ovation.
At the time, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung expressed their gratitude to the audience and were stunned to see their reactions. Following their attendance at the 75th Cannes Film Awards, "Hunt" will have its theatrical release on August 10, 2022.
Megabox Plus, the distributor of Lee Jung Jae's directorial debut, released a teaser featuring the intense confrontation between the two NIS agents.
Apart from "Hunt" being Lee Jung Jae's first project as a director, the upcoming action movie is gaining viewers' interest, especially since it boasts an exciting line-up of cast members.
