Cha Eun Woo is in talks to join the star-studded cast of the upcoming movie "K-Pop: Lost in America'' with Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton.

In an exclusive report cited by Star News, the singer-actor might have his Hollywood debut through the film.

Cha Eun Woo, to Join 'K-Pop: Lost in America' As Lead Star?

As noted by the outlet, the 25-year-old South Korean star has received an offer to appear in "K-Pop: Lost in America."

In the same report, Cha Eun Woo's agency, Fantagio, confirmed that the singer-actor received a casting offer and positively reviewing it.

Interestingly, the label is also "preparing for filming after partially rearranging the schedule for the second half of this year." If he officially agrees to become part of K-Pop: Lost in America," he will act as one of the main characters.

Following Cha Eun Woo's possible Hollywood debut, the production team is reportedly preparing the casting lineup for actors who will take on K-pop roles in the upcoming movie.

There's no doubt that the 25-year-old heartthrob could age playing the character since he debuted as a Kpop star and wowed viewers with his acting skills.

Although he is introduced as a member of ASTRO, Cha Eun Woo also appeared in various Kdrama and movies including My ID Is Gangnam Beauty which is his claim to fame, "Top Management" and of course, the smash hit Kdrama "True Beauty" with Moon Ga Young and Hwang In Yeop.

Netflix's "Senior Year" star Rebel Wilson and CW series "Riverdale" actor Charles Melton are headlining the upcoming movie "K-Pop: Lost in America" produced by CJ Entertainment's Miky Lee and Hollywood's Lynda Obst.

In an exclusive report cited by Deadline, South Korean filmmaker JK Youn will helm the movie. To recall, he is the director behind "Miracle on 1st Street," "Quick," "Ode to My Father," and "Haeundae."

As for the script, the upcoming movie is penned by Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer, with a current draft by Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith and Karen McCullah.

According to the outlet, the story will depict a journey of a K-pop group's Hollywood dream.

Unfortunately, during their trip to the U.S, they found themselves stuck in Waco, Texas, days before their American debut at Madison Square Garden.

"K-Pop: Lost in America" will illustrate how the group struggles to endure obstacles of making it to New York City with no phones, no money, and transportation.

Interestingly, throughout their unexpected journey, they find themselves falling in love with Texas.

In addition, the outlet also revealed that "K-Pop: Lost in America" is expected to start its production in the fall.

Cha Eun Woo New Drama

On the other hand, as viewers wait for the official announcement from his agency, Cha Eun Woo will also star in two upcoming Kdrama.

First is the webtoon-based series "Island Season 1" alongside Kim Nam Gil and Lee Da Hee, while his second series will be mystery comedy Kdrmaa "Sweet and Sour Chicken" directed by Lee Byung Hun of "Again My Life.
