While the first half of 2022 gave K-drama fans a wide array of choices- from genres to those with a star-studded cast, the second half of the year will feature much-awaited series from top stars Song Joong Ki, Ji Sung, and Kim Hye Soo. Song Joong Ki (The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate)
After the smash-hit K-drama, "Vincenzo" Song Joong Ki will return with a new character as he plays the revenge-driven man in "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate."
The webtoon-based series is the Hallyu star's return to Kdrama after a year since the action series was released.
For his upcoming Kdrama, Song Joong Ki will play Yoon Hyun Woo, who will be born as Jin Do Joon in the JTBC series.
In "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate," the 36-year-old star took on the role of Yoon Hyun Woo, a trusted aide of a chaebol family. But, unfortunately, he met his devastating fate after being framed for embezzlement of money, resulting in his chaebol's boss murdering him.
Interestingly, he was reborn as the family's youngest member Jin Do Joon. He will seize this as an opportunity to take vengeance against the person behind his death.

Slated to air on October 29, Song Joong Ki's new drama will also feature a roster of talented stars including Shin Hyun Bin, veteran actor Lee Sung Min, together with Kim Nam Hee, Girls' Generation's Tiffany, and more.
Kim Hye Soo (Umbrella)
K-drama viewers will once again witness the versatility of Kim Hye Soo as an actress as she stars in the forthcoming tvN series "Umbrella."
Helmed by "Lovers in Prague" and "Prince Coffee Lab" director Kim Hyung Shik, Kim Hye Soo's new drama follows the story of the troublesome princes, dubbed the "royal headache," and the royal family's struggle to keep their family at peace.
"Umbrella" will be the actress' first-ever historical K-drama since her debut in the industry.
Joining Kim Hye Soo is Moon Sang Min as Prince Seongnam and is scheduled to hit the small screen in the second half of 2022.
Ji Sung (Adamas)
From one versatile actress to another top star actor is the equally talented Ji Sung.
After keeping the viewers at the edge of their seats in the 2021 Kdrama "The Devil Judge," the 45-year-old actor will return for the thriller mystery series "Adamas."
It will be an exciting series for fans of Ji Sung as he plays the dual role of twin brothers, Song Soo Hyun, a fearless prosecutor, and Ha Woo Shin, a mystery novel writer.
Despite their different personality, the siblings are eager to fight against great evil to prove that their biological father is innocent of the murder case against their stepfather.
Set to premiere on July 27, the "Adamas" cast includes Seo Ji Hye and Lee Soo Kyung as main characters.
