Jung Hae In is booked and busy in the coming year as the South Korean heartthrob is in talks to join "Veteran 2." According to a news portal, the actor's agency, FNC Entertainment, confirmed that the "Snowdrop" star has received the offer to join the cast of the upcoming sequel "and is currently reviewing" the project.
Jung Hae In to Join Yoo Ah In and Hwang Jung Min in 'Veteran 2'?
While Jung Hae In and representatives of the movie are still in the discussion stage, the actor is courted to play a new character.
If he officially accepts the offer, the South Korean star will be playing the successor of third-generation chaebol Jo Tae Oh, initially played by Yoo Ah In.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung Min will reprise his role as detective Seo Do Cheol.
As the film completes its cast lineup, "Veteran 2" will reportedly start its production in the second half of 2022.
The sequel will be helmed by Ryu Seung Wan, who also worked with the 2015 "Veteran" and the genius behind the award-winning film "Escape from Mogadishu" and "The Battleship Island."

To recall, the action-packed movie "Veteran" was released in 2015, which stars Hwang Jung Min as the protagonist while Yoo Ah In as the tyrannical heir villain.
Joining the duo are some of K-drama's familiar faces, including "Chief of Staff" star Jung Woong In, Yoo Hae Jin from "Confidential Assignment," who played Director Choi in "Veteran," and Oh Dal Soo as Team Leader Oh.
While "Veteran 2" is gearing up for the start of its filming, Jung Hae In is currently filming his new dramas.
Jung Hae In's New Drama: 'Connect' and Netflix's 'D.P 2'
As mentioned, the 34-year-old actor is booked and busy with his upcoming projects in 2023.
After the triumphant finale of "Snowdrop," Jung Hae In is working on two new dramas.
The first is with the second season of Netflix's "D.P." alongside Goo Kyo Hwan, Son Seok Koo, and more.
Jung Hae In will reprise his role as private soldier Ahn Joon Ho who is instructed to hunt down deserters.
In a report, after "D.P. 2" was officially confirmed to return, the 34-year-old heartthrob said that he is "happy" to be working with the sequel. He added that he is "excited and looking forward to the thought of meeting great people again on set."
Besides the Netflix series, Jung Hae In will also star in the Disney+ series "Connect."
He will be joined by Go Kyung Pyo and "Kingdom" actress Kim Hye Joon as lead stars.
According to a separate report, the upcoming series is slated to air in the first half of 2023.
