Song Kang Ho talks about his reunion project with Im Si Wan as the duo stars in the upcoming movie "Emergency Declaration." Helmed by "Money Game" director Han Jae Rim, the action suspense film boasts a star-studded cast including Lee Byung Hun, Kim Nam Gil, Jeon Do Yeon, Park Hae Joon, and Kim So Jin as lead stars. After the theatrical release, Song Kang Ho reveals what it's like working with Im Si Wan for the second time.
Song Kang Ho Moved by Im Si Wan's Impressive Performance
The award-winning veteran actor starred with Im Si Wan in the 2013 movie "The Attorney." At the time, the "Strangers" star was fairly new in showbusiness after debuting in 2010.
Ten years later, Song Kang Ho reunited with Im Si Wan for the movie "Emergency Declaration" and showered his junior co-star with good words.
For the 55-year-old A-lister, he pointed out how Im Si Wan "acted so intensely and wonderfully."
He recalled working with him in "The Attorney" and mentioned that he "had shown unusual acting skills" even before and expressed how proud he is to see him flourish as a great actor.
"I was so proud and praised that he acted so well. He did well," Song Kang Ho added as obtained by a Korean news portal.

As the interview continued, the veteran star mentioned Im Si Wan being the counterpart of the equally talented Son Seok Koo, who recently gained praise for his performance in "The Outlaws 2" playing the villain role.
"I don't know if I can compare it like this, but if there was Son Seok Koo in 'The Roundup,' then 'Emergency Declaratio' has Im Si Wan," he said, praising the junior actors.
To recall, "The Roundup" is the first ever movie since the pandemic to reach over 12 million viewers since its premiere.
Song Kang Ho Had a Minor Injury on the Set of 'Emergency Declaration'
In the upcoming movie, Song Kang Ho plays veteran detective, In Ho, who canceled his vacation with his wife after receiving information regarding aviation terrorism.
Meanwhile, Im Si Wan plays mysterious plane passenger Jin Seok.
During the interview, the veteran star shared an action scene where he threw his whole body outside the plane, including a car chase.
Song Kang Ho revealed that he had a minor injury on the set of "Emergency Declaration" and was included on the scene.
"I injured my leg a little at that time. I injured my leg in the part where he fell off the wall and hobbled and chased again. There was no limping situation in the script. The staff worked so hard that I think a good scene came out."
Despite the incident, the actor said that the production team ensured the scene and environment were safe but never thought he would have a minor injury on the set.
"Emergency Declaration" first premiered at the Cannes Film festival 2021 and will have its theatrical release on August 3 in South Korea.
