Kim Hee Sun, Yoo Hae Jin, and more are confirmed to lead the cast of the upcoming movie "Sweet and Warm." The lineup is officially announced by Mindmark, the distributor of the rom-com film.
Meet the 'Sweet and Warm' Cast
Helmed by "Punch" and "A Melody To Remember" director Lee Han and penned by Lee Byung Hun of "Tazza" and "Again My Life," the forthcoming film follows the story of a single mother who meets a researcher at a confectionary company.
Kim Hee Sun plays Il Yeong who raises her kid alone while hustling as a call center employee at a loan review company. Despite being a single mother, she has a positive outlook amid the changes in her life.

In "Sweet and Warm" she meets Chi Ho, played by Yoo Hae Jin, a researcher at a genius confectionery company, known for his best-selling products.
As noted by News 1 Korea, joining the duo is "Hong Kong Express" star Cha In Pyo, who will take the role of Chi Ho's older brother, Seok Ho. Viewers could expect a sibling rivalry between the two.
In addition, officially included as the "Sweet and Warm" cast is the versatile star Jin Seon Kyu as Byeong Hoon.
Interestingly, "Sweet and Warm" is a reunion project between him and Yoo Hae as they both starred in Song Joong Ki's 2021 movie "Space Sweepers."
Jin Seon Kyu will portray the character of the son of the confectionary company's president while Han Sun Hwa is set to show off her charm as Eun Suk.
Lastly, joining the cast lineup is the up-and-coming actress Jung Da Eun who recently appeared in Netflix's "D.P." and is known for her role in "Divine Fury."
Following the release of official cast members, Mindmark also shared that "Sweet and Warm" had started gearing up and began its production in mid of July. It only means that the upcoming film might be released sometime next year.
Interestingly, the forthcoming rom-com film is Kim Hee Sun's comeback to the big screen after 19 years.
Her last silver screen appearance was in the 2003 Korean film "The Man Who Went to Mars."

She took the role of sassy and fearless grim reaper Goo Ryun in "Tomorrow" with SF9's Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Yun Ji On.
Kim Hee Sun stunned the viewers with her badass role and her massive transformation by donning pink hair.
Months after the K-drama concluded, she headlined a Netflix revenge series "Remarriage and Desires," portraying the role of grieving widow Seo Hye Seung who seeks vengeance against her husband's mistress.
Jung Eugene, Park Hoon, Lee Hyun Wook, and Cha Ji Yeon were also part of the cast.
