Unlike his previous roles, playing the role of agent Carter is somewhat different from his past projects.
In the upcoming movie, Joo Won dons a tattooed body and even bulks up 7kg to portray the character.
"There were scenes where I had to reveal my body. It would be the viewers' first impression of Carter, so I tried to build my body as much as possible," he explained.
The actor did not disappoint fans as Joo Won stuns with a ripped physique as seen in the trailer and still cuts.
The actor previously mentioned that he spent three to four months of intensive training to perfect his stunts and action scenes.
Besides his figure, Joo Won also had a buzz cut, noting that it is the shortest hairstyle he has ever had.
"I made lots of changes, such as my voice, or the surgery marks on the back of my head, to look like Carter in all parts," he added, citing that he literally became his character.
Due to this, Joo Won admitted that with all his transformation, he had a little difficulty returning to himself after the production.
