The second half of 2022 is shaping up with entertaining and exciting K-dramas and movies from stars like Ji Chang Wook, Lee Jung Jae, Jung Woo Sung, Jung Woo, and more.
Set to be released from August 7 to 13, some of the upcoming shows can be streamed to Netflix, making it easier for the global audience to catch the latest K-drama of their favorite stars.
With that said, here are the upcoming Kdramas and movies in August 2022.
'Hunt'
First on the list is a new movie "Hunt," starring Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung. The espionage action film is the directorial debut by Lee Jung Jae.
"Hunt" follows the story of two ace National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents named Park Pyung Ho (Lee Jung Jae) and Kim Jung Do (Jung Woo Sung) who are assigned to a special mission.
The duo is tasked to chase North Korean spies but get caught up in a twisted fate after they were accused of being the mole in the mission.

It comes after the top-tier South Korean agents face a massive discovery.
Following its premiere at the Cannes Film festival 2022, "Hunt" scheduled its theatrical release on August 10 and will also premiere in 144 countries including the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and more.
'If You Wish Upon Me'
KBS2 introduces a star-studded life drama series, starring Ji Chang Wook and Girls' Generation's Sooyoung.
It follows the story of Yoon Gyeo Ree played by Ji Chang Wook, who grew up with a rough childhood. Living in an orphanage, he was abused when he was young and spent time in juvenile detention.
Growing up, he lived in the same scenario after serving time in prison.
Interestingly, the people he met along the way changed how he sees life.
Joining Ji Chang Wook and Sooyoung is veteran actor Sung Dong Il as volunteer facility head Kang Tae Shik.
"If You Wish Upon Me" is slated to premiere on August 10 via KBS2 and VuiTv.
'A Model Family'
Netflix continues to deliver impressive content from K-dramas and movies. The streaming giants' upcoming series is the thriller crime drama "A Model Family."
Directed by Kim Jin Woo of "Love Alarm," "Healer," and "Good Doctor," the upcoming K-drama revolves around a family who is dealing with a financial crisis.
It came after they got involved in a drug syndicate and are now on the verge of bankruptcy.
"A Model Family" stars Jung Woo, Park Hee Soon, Park Ji Yeon, Yoon Jin Seo and "Money Heist Korea" actor Kim Sung Oh as the main characters.
The upcoming series is making its worldwide premiere on Netflix on August 12.
'Stock Struck'
From thriller to action and drama, tvN welcomes the comedy series "Stock Struck," starring Han Ji Eun and Hong Jong Hyun. The 12-episode series focuses on five individuals who invested their money in a stock market and took part in a mysterious stock meeting.
Joining the duo are Jung Moon Sung of "Hospital Playlist," award-winning actress Kim Sun Young and veteran actor Jang Gwang.
"Stock Struck" will officially premiere on August 12 via tvN.
