As tvN gears up for the much-awaited premiere, the broadcast network gave viewers a glimpse of Kim Hye Soo's new character through the drama's official poster.

As seen in the first photo, Queen Im Hwa Ryeong covered her son using an umbrella, protecting him from the pouring rain, as the mother and son stood in front of the palace.

Helmed by Kim Hyung Shik of "I Am a Legend," "Twenty Again," and "Prince Coffee Lab," Kim Hye Soo's new drama is slated to air on October 15, every Saturday and Sunday.

Viewers could watch the 16-part episode of "Umbrella" via tvN while subtitles are available via Netflix.

Joining Kim Hye Soo as the lead star is Choi Won Young as Im Hwa Ryung's husband, King Lee Ho while veteran actress Kim Hae Sook will be Im Hwa Ryung's mother-in-law, the Queen dowager.

In addition, "Umbrella" main cast also includes Kim Eui Sung, Moon Sang Min, SF9's Chani, Kim Ga Eun, Ok Ja Yeon, Yoo Seon Ho, Yoon Sang Hyun, Kim Min Ki, and more.

'Juvenile Justice' Season 2: Will Kim Hye Soo Return as Judge Shim?

tvN's historical K-drama "Umbrella" is Kim Hye Soo's next small screen project after the blockbuster series "Juvenile Justice."

The 51-year-old actress gained overwhelming praise as she plays the feisty juvenile court judge, Shim Eun Seok, who vocally despises young offenders due to a devastating past.

Interestingly, months after the 10-part episode Netflix series ended, the streaming giant announced that the crime K-drama will be renewed for another season.

As mentioned by an outlet, "Juvenile Justice" Season 2 is set to have its pre-production between August and September of 2022.

It includes discussing the cast lineup, production crew, and the continuity of the story.

However, as of this writing, Netflix is yet to announce the cast lineup and actors who will reprise their roles.
