Nam Ji Hyun talks about the success of "Little Women" and the actresses she wants to work with in the future.
The 27-year-old star is gaining the attention she deserves after landing the role of Oh In Kyung in the novel-based K-drama along with Kim Go Eun, and Park Ji Hoo from "All of Us Are Dead."
Following the drama's successful finale, Nam Ji Hyun talks about her experience filming the drama and thoughts about her dream project.
Nam Ji Hyun on Playing Oh In Kyung
In "Little Women," her character Oh In Kyung is a fearless journalist who wants justice to prevail after exposing the illegal activities of Seoul's mayoral candidate Park Jae Sang by digging into his corruption.
Nam Ji Hyun described her character as someone who is easily swayed by her emotions and "goes straight ahead without any fear to her goal."
Immersed with her character, she revealed that she once asked a reporter what it's like to be in their shoes and do their job.
"I found out that there are many reporters who feel great pleasure in digging into one and drawing a bigger picture," she said as obtained by an outlet.
In the tvN series, "Little Women" depicts the story of three sisters who lived in poverty and got caught up in a huge incident involving an influential family.
It all started when Kim Go Eun's character, Oh In Joo, unexpectedly received 2 billion won from a late friend.

For Nam Ji Hyun, "Little Women" is more than just a story but "deals with poverty as a theme" and at the same time, "shows different attitudes towards poverty through various characters."
Apart from her successful K-drama comeback, the 27-year-old actress will be celebrating her 18 years in show business.
Nam Ji Hyun Names Two Former Child Stars She Wants To Work With
Debuting in the 2004 MBC drama "Say You Love Me" and playing the role of young Yoon So Yi, Nam Ji Hyun started her career as a child star playing supporting roles in "My Love," "Lobbyist," "The Great King, Sejong" and more.
After 18 years in the industry, she managed to solidify her name as one of the K-drama lead stars, joining series like "100 Days My Prince," "365: Repeat the Year" and "The Witch's Diner."
As for her future projects, she mentioned that she wanted to work with fellow child actresses and named two stars she looked forward to acting on the same project.
She says that she feels closer to "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" star Park Eun Bin and Lee Se Young of "The Law Cafe" who also started their career as child stars.
For Nam Ji Hyun, she feels "proud to see other child actresses continue to be successful" and imagines working with them in the future.
"They all went through similar experiences as I did. There's something that you share with them without even having to say out loud," she said.
Interestingly, Nam Ji Hyun and Park Hyun Bin entered the same college and both majored in psychology before joining the cast as child actresses in "The Great Queen Seondeok."
