'Queen of Tears' Confirms Lead Stars + What We Know So Far About the Drama
As an update to their rumored collaboration, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won afinally accepted to lead "Queen in Tears."
In particular, on December 5 the production company Studio Dragon officially announced that the production of writer Park Ji Eun's new series "Queen on Tears" has been confirmed.
Park Ji Eun is the brilliant mind who penned two smashing hit dramas "My Love From the Star" and "Producer," in which Kim Soo Hyun both headline. This time, she will join forces again with talented director Jang Young Woo, following their first collaboration in the rom-com drama "Crash Landing on You."
This is a reunion project for Kim Soo Hyun and Park Ji Eun. The actor is about to portray the character of Baek Hyun Woo, while Kim Ji Won takes the role of Hong Hae In.

Baek Hyun Woo is the pride of the small village of Yongduri. He is the legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group, where Hong Hae In is a chaebol heiress and dubbed as the queen of Queens Group's department store.
Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun's upcoming series follows the miraculous, humorous love story of this married couple, who manages to survive a crisis and decide to stay strong together against all odds.
"Queen of Tears" production will start filming in the first quarter of 2023. In addition, the drama is tentatively scheduled to release in the second half of next year.
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are the two big names to look forward to in the Korean industry by 2023.
