Hyun Bin Takes The Role of a NIS Agent
Hyun Bin takes the role of Park Dae Sik. He has left Korea for a long time and still lives with the trauma he suffered when he failed to save hostages in the past during a war in Iraq. Feeling that he was secretly being used by his superiors, he is already on the verge of quitting his job when he discovers the hostage situation involving South Korean citizens in Afghanistan.
Putting aside the disappointment he felt toward his work, he immediately heads for Afghanistan to save the hostages.
Determined to rescue the hostages at all costs, he shows no mercy to the opponents and tries to solve the case in a way optimized for the local area, but confronts diplomat Jeong Jae Ho (played by Hwang Jung Min), who specializes in negotiations and advocates principles and procedures.
In this movie, Hyun Bin will show how his character overcomes his past trauma through his current situation in Afghanistan. He is about to exhibit another delicate and emotional performance.
"The Point Men" marks Hyun Bin's first movie after becoming a father to his first baby with actress Son Ye Jin.
Furthermore, "The Point Men" is slated to premiere in cinemas starting January 18, 2023.
