Lee Ji Ah revealed her preparation as she returned to the small screen with "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise."

The actress graced the press conference ahead of the series' premiere, along with co-stars Lee Sang Yoon, Jang Hee Jin, and Park Ki Woong, as well as with director Choi Young Hoon of "One the Woman."

In addition, the soon-to-be-released thriller series is a reunion project between Lee Ji Ah and Bong Tae Gyu, who she starred with in the blockbuster trilogy "The Penthouse: War in Life."

Lee Ji Ah discussed how she prepared for her role in "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise," given that her new drama is quite different from her previous projects.

Lee Ji Ah Underwent Intense Training for 'Pandora: Beneath the Paradise'

As obtained by a media outlet, Lee Ji Ah lost weight and had to undergo intense training to portray the role of Hong Tae Ra.

In the drama, her character is a woman who seems to have it all, from her family to career, but she encounters a devastating fate after she loses her memory.

On the other hand, her husband, Pyo Jae Hyun (Lee Sang Yoon), runs for the presidential race. Amid this, Hong Tae Ra finds herself entering the spotlight.

Unfortunately, as her memories seems to return, she finds out a shocking truth about her past - that her almost perfect life is set up by someone with a devious plan.

Although this genre is not new to the actress, Lee Ji Ah said that she was focused on portrayal "betrayal," since her character is driven by that emotion.

"I think I paid attention to express that part well because I had to gradually increase the sense of betrayal and emotions that I felt as I gradually remembered after losing my memory," she explained.

To recall, the 44-year-old beauty played the iconic character Shin Soo Ryoon in the hit K-drama "The Penthouse: War in Life."

For three seasons, viewers got to see Lee Ji Ah's notable acting as she played the dotting mother.

Meanwhile, "Pandora: Beneath the Paradise" airs on March 11.
