Shin Hye Sun's upcoming movie "Brave Citizen" faces a dilemma after a clip from the movie was leaked online.

The upcoming film is one of the actress' projects this 2023. Helmed by "Closer to Heaven" and "Love Forecast" director Park Jin Pyo the action-life drama movie is based on the webtoon of the same name.

Back in 2021, Shin Hye Sun confirmed her appearance to headline the forthcoming movie "Brave Citizen," along with U-KISS's Lee Jun Young. The action-packed story depicts the life of a hero named So Si Min, played by the 33-year-old actress.

During her high school days, she was seen as a boxing protegee. Unfortunately, she experienced a devastating fate that led her to deviate from her plan.

Now, So Si Min is a part-time teacher who wants to become a full-time teacher. This is where she meets an intelligent but vile student named Han Su Kang, played by U-KISS's Lee Jun Young.

As mentioned, "Brave Citizen" is based on the popular Naver Webtoon, which received favorable reviews with a rating of 9.8 percent and also garnered 2.27 million views on Taiwan's Line Webtoon platform.

With Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jun Young's team up, viewers expect undeniable chemistry between the two as they synchronize with their characters.

Following the sad news regarding the film, officials are yet to confirm the scheduled premiere date for Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jun Young's movie.

To recall, "Brave Citizen" started its production in December 2021.

Due to the height of the global pandemic, the team experience setbacks and had to halt their filming because the lead stars test positive for COVID-19.

Four months after the team started the production, "Brave Citizen" officially wrapped up its filming in April 2022.

In a report, Lee Jun Young shared his thought about the upcoming movie and says that he "learned a lot" from the director and everyone on the set.

"I am curious about what kind of work it will be, and I hope it will be a special work for the audience," he added.

As for Shin Hye Sun she admitted that it would not be easy for her to let go of her character, So Si Min, but city how meaningful "Brave Citizen" is for her.
