As Yoo Ah In faces massive consequences after being linked to drug abuse, his doctor might be facing the same fate after the professional was accused of illegally administering propofol.
Following the search and seizure conducted by the authorities amid the actor's drug charges, the doctor who reportedly prescribed propofol to the award-winning star is under investigation.
Moreover the professional was also arrested as a red-handed criminal for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
At the time, various outlets mentioned that the doctor, who runs his own clinic in Gangnam is an acquaintance of Yoo Ah In, making him have easy access to forbidden substances.
Yoo Ah In Drug Scandal Update: Korean Medical Association Calls Out Actor's Doctor
As the drug case continues, Korean Medical Association discussed requesting authorities to give the doctor disciplinary action due to negligence.
As obtained by a media outlet, the organization made a written resolution along with the board of directors, requesting "a disciplinary review by the Central Ethics Committee for the doctor who was caught prescribing or illegally administering propofol."

The association also pointed out that it tainted the "dignity of doctors" and also putting serious damage to the whole medical community.
Furthermore, Korean Medical Association is determined to do action against this "medical practices cannot be tolerated under any unavoidable circumstances in the medical field."

Yoo Ah In welcomed the year with a shocking turn of events after the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency did an investigation over complaints regarding the actor's habitual use of propofol.
In South Korea, the said sleep inducer and anesthetic substance is illegal outside of hospital settings or surgical procedures.
As part of the probe, the "Chicago Typewriter" star is barred from leaving the country and had to undergo various tests which include urine and hair strand tests.
Unfortunately, after the results came in, the award winning star tested positive on four types of narcotics, including hemp, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine.
With this, he is summoned to stand before the police on March 24 for further questioning.
As for the actor's current and upcoming activities, brands removed traces of Yoo Ah In from endorsement while the 36-year-old star withdraw from his role in Netflix's "Hellbound 2."
To recall, after officially stepping down from his character as the cult leader Jung Ji Su, Netflix announced Yoo Ah In's replacement through Kim Sung Chul of "Our Beloved Summer."
