With this, he voluntarily appeared at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and underwent a 12-hour questioning.

Following his activity with the authorities, Yoo Ah In's Instagram featured a public apology that gained public attention. In his lengthy post, written in Korean, the actor began his message by saying that he "made an inadequate apology" after appearing before the police.
Moreover, he also acknowledged his shortcomings and apologized to the people whom he "disappointed" and who have "loved" him since the start of his career. He then mentioned the consequences of his actions and the people who got affected by it, especially his co-stars and brands.
"Moreover, because of me, movies, plays, those who do valuable work such as advertising, I can't express my apologies yesterday," he said, adding that he is "deeply sorry" for being irresponsible that causing inconvenience to colleagues and related personnel.
Despite feeling "sorry and ashamed," Yoo Ah In said that he will "shoulder" the responsibilities and promised to "participate in future investigations" and legal trials.

As the actor and his team were about to leave the vicinity, he spoke to the media and said that he "told the truth as far as he could tell." However, he was hesitant to share more information regarding the 12-hour ordeal with the police since the investigation is still ongoing.
Further, he asked apology in front of the media and mentioned that he is "deeply reflecting" on his actions that "brought great disappointment to many people."
Prior to his appearance before the police, Yoo Ah In tested positive for four types of drugs - marijuana, ketamine, cocaine, and propofol - and had to ban him from leaving the country as the probe continued.
