Yoo Ah In will face another investigation over his drug controversy. According to reports, authorities are planning to summon him anytime this week for further questioning.

Yoo Ah In to Undergo Rigorous Investigation Over Cocaine Use

As mentioned by a news portal, the "Seoul Vibe" star, who has been dealing with the issue since February, will have to undergo additional investigation for his cocaine use.

"We believe that further investigation is necessary in Yoo Ah In's case," a police official mentioned in a press conference, adding, "In particular, an in-depth investigation is underway on whether he took cocaine."

The authorities raised concerns regarding the actor's cocaine usage, saying that the specific substance was only found in his hair. With this, proving how and when he consumed would be difficult.

To recall, Yoo Ah In underwent a urine and hair strand test to see traces of propofol substance. However, the actor tested positive for four types of drugs. Besides propofol, substances including marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine were also found in his system.

Unfortunately, the result led to backlash not just from the public. It also affected his relationship with brands and other upcoming projects.

Yoo Ah In's endorsement was taken down on all platforms due to the drug controversy. It includes Chinese fashion label CROQUIS, pharmaceutical company, Chong Kun Dang Health, ramen brand Ottogi, and clothing brand Musinsa.

Besides brands, he has decided to drop out from the much-awaited "Hellbound 2." The upcoming Netflix series has replaced the award-winning star with Kim Sung Cheol, who will portray the role of a cult leader, Jung Jin Soo of The New Truth.

In addition, the streaming giant also announced that Yoo Ah In's new drama "Goodbye Earth," along with Ahn Euh Jin, has been temporarily suspended. The same goes for his movie "The Match" with Lee Byung Hun, which has been delayed indefinitely.

As for the upcoming film "High Five," the actor's screentime will be edited out but has been postponed for the time being.

Yoo Ah In Issues Apology To Co-Stars, Fans

As mentioned, the top star appeared before the police on March 27 after he was summoned by the authorities.

Following the 12-hour questioning, Yoo Ah In briefly gave a statement expressing an apology to his fans and colleagues. It was then followed by a lengthy Instagram post wherein he stated making "an insufficient apology right after the police investigation."

Once again, he apologized "for disappointing many people," including his colleagues who were disappointed for "causing damage" to the entertainment industry. He also took responsibility for his action and pointed out that his "mistake that cannot be covered by any excuse."

Lastly, he promised to "diligently participate in the upcoming investigation," and mentioned that he'll "gladly accept" the consequences of his actions.
