According to a media outlet on April 3, the drama made history for being the first series to have the highest number of paid subscriptions on the streaming platform TVING.

The Part 1 of the trending drama adaptation, which consists of six episodes, was released on March 31.

"Duty After School" depicts the story of high school students who are called to join the world's first war against extraterrestrial forces. Unexpectedly, a mysterious alien sphere entered the world, which made the Department of Defense offer college admission incentives to students who will sign up for the reserved forces who will soon become frontline fighters.
