Lee Jung Jae spoke about his first Hollywood project after joining the cast of "The Star Wars" series "The Acolyte."
Following the actor's global popularity after the "Squid Game" craze took the world by storm in 2021, the award-winning South Korean actor is confirmed to appear in the upcoming spin-off under Disney+.
During his appearance at the "Star Wars Celebration 2023" event held in London, he revealed his thoughts on his interesting role as the "The Acolyte" cast has been officially unveiled.
Lee Jung Jae to Play Jedi Master in 'The Acolyte'
In a report, Lee Jung Jae graced the event along with the cast and production team of the "Star Wars" spin-off. Moreover, the South Korean star teased fans as he revealed his role.
In "The Acolyte," Lee Jung Jae will transform into a jedi master, raising expectations with his much-anticipated appearance in the upcoming TV show.
Besides his first Hollywood project, Lee Jung Jae is booked and busy this 2023 as the award-winning actor will return to "Squid Game 2."
In June, Netflix officially confirmed that the much-awaited K-drama gets the green light for another sequel.
In addition, director Hwang Dong Hyuk teased fans by conforming that familiar faces will return for season 2 - it includes the Frontman, played by Lee Byung Hun, and Seong Gi Hoon, portrayed by Lee Jung Jae.
Adding to the list is Gong Yoo, who might reprise his role as the mysterious agent. According to Variety, the director hints at a bolder "Squid Game 2" since he "hires some more people" to work with him in the upcoming season.
