One of the most talked-about 2022 K-dramas was the Korean adaptation of the hit novel "Little Women." Kim Go Eun stars as the eldest sister Oh In Joo, who got caught up in a chaotic fate after a major incident shakes up their life.
Working as an ordinary office employee in the accounting department, she wants to get out of poverty and have her siblings a better life. However, it feels impossible for her given their situation. Her world turns upside down following the death of her friend.
Released in September 2022, "Little Women" gained the public's attention, especially with Kim Go Eun's exceptional acting, along with her chemistry with Nam Ji Hyun and Park Ji Hoo.
In addition, the 12-episode K-drama concluded the season with a double-digit rating.
However, as Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 announced the list of nominees, Kim Go Eun failed to enter the Best Actress category, causing disappointment among viewers. For one, the actress delivered an amazing portrayal of Oh In Joo, showing her versatility in drama series.
The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards nominees include Kim Ji Won ("My Liberation Notes"), Kim Hye Soo ("Under the Queen's Umbrella"), Park Eun Bin ("Extraordinary Attorney Woo"), Song Hye Kyo ("The Glory"), and Bae Suzy ("Anna").
On the other hand, "Little Women" received a nod for Best Drama along with "My Liberation Notes," "The Glory," "Our Blues," and "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
