Despite only being three episodes in, "King the Land" is amassing positive feedback.

'Big 3' K-Drama Couples: Lee Junho & YoonA, Ahn Hyo Seop & Kim Sejeong, Park Seo Joon & Park Min Young
With that in mind, it's not surprising that people are comparing this new onscreen tandem to some iconic K-drama couples.
First on the list are Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong, from the 2022 hit series "Business Proposal."
To recall, in the drama, Ahn Hyo Seop played as the cold and perfectionist CEO, while Kim Sejeong was Shin Ha Ri, who surprisingly dated her boss as she pretended to be her best friend on a blind date. While she tried to hide from work at work, the secret eventually came out.
Adding to the list is the 2018 K-drama couple Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young in "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim." Similar to "King the Land" and "Business Proposal," the male lead played as a narcissistic executive of a big company while the female lead was his secretary.
As their romance slowly blossomed and had connections to the past, it still exhibited similar story and character tropes. Hence, in all of these three shows, it boasted a classic love story with its twists and turns.
While the stars are different and add unique chemistry to their characters, they have the same characteristics. The boss is cold, cool, and charismatic, while the female lead is smart, stunning, and strong.
Others even called these tandems the "Big Three" as seen in the viewers' reactions on various social media platforms.
