Meanwhile, "Elegant Empire" will be Lee Sang Bo's return to the small screen after two years since he starred in the 2021 K-drama "Miss Monte-Cristo."
What Happened to Lee Sang Bo's Illegal Drug Case?
Lee Sang Bo debuted in 2006 with the drama series "The Invisible Man" and has been in the industry for almost two decades. He appeared in various K-dramas like "Cruel Love," "Romance Hunter," "Rugal," "Miss Monte-Cristo," and more.
However, in 2022, he made headlines after reports claimed that he was the person arrested for illegal drugs.
Moreover, CCTV footage also showed that a man, who is said to be Lee Sang Bo, had been running around in the area like he was on drugs.
Police also found traces of pills at his home.
Days later, authorities revealed that they had arrested the actor for a drug scandal and that he had fully cooperated during the arrest.
Although he tested positive for drugs, the test showed that there was only a small amount of narcotic found in his system, and it was from the antidepressant drug that he was taking.
Due to this, Lee Sang Bo also denied the accusations against him and wanted to clear his name of the allegations.
"People sometimes go crazy about lies, not about the truth, but about the lies. I don't know how long my life will last, but I'm going to fight for my name to the end," the actor said, as mentioned by a media outlet.
As the investigation continues, Seoul Gangnam Police Station cleared the actor from illegal drug charges after authorities found "no traces of morphine" on the actor's urine test or his hair follicle test.
