Ha Jung Woo Says Filming ‘Unofficial Operation’ in Morocco Affected His Eating Habits

Ha Jung Woo talks about his big screen comeback for the movie "Unofficial Operation" and shares his experience filming it overseas.

During his guest appearance on SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show," the award-winning actor hints at what to expect in the upcoming movie.

'Unofficial Operation' is Ha Jung Woo and Ju Ji Hoon's Reunion Project

As cited by a media outlet, Ha Jung Woo shared that "Unofficial Operation" is based on the true story of a diplomat who was kidnapped in 1987.

During the interview, Ha Jung Woo shared that they filmed some parts of the movie in Morocco.

For five months, they lived in the North African country, where they got the opportunity to experience their culture, especially the food.

However, the actor revealed that he couldn't eat that much because of the spices.

Apparently, the Morrocan cuisine focuses on vegetables, meat, dairy, and a mix of spices, which include cumin, turmeric, cayenne, paprika, and more.

'Unofficial Operation' Cast and Release Date

Along with other highly anticipated movies set to be released this year, "Unofficial Operation" joins the race, giving viewers an artistic presentation of a dramatic and unexpected true story that happened in the late 1980s.

With this, "Unofficial Operation" is confirmed to premiere on August 2 in local theaters, while the international release can also be anticipated to follow shortly.

Ha Jung Woo's Upcoming Projects

Besides his big-screen comeback, Ha Jung Woo will also star in back-to-back movies.

After his return for Netflix's blockbuster series Narco-Saints," the award-winning actor stars in "Road to Boston" along with Im Siwan, and Bae Sung Woo.

The sports drama theme movie depicts the story of Korean national marathoners who want to compete in the international marathon event.

The upcoming movie is set to hit theaters on September 2023.
