August just started and there are already exciting K-dramas to occupy the primetime from weekdays to weekends. From Namgoong Min's "My Dearest" to Lim Ji Yeon's "The Killing Vote," here are the new series to anticipate in the first week of the month.
'My Dearest'
Set to debut this August 4, MBC's historical-romance series is about star-crossed lovers whose fates become tested due to the Qing invasion of Joseon.
Marking it as his screen comeback, Namgoong Min will portray Lee Jang Hyun, a man who has no plan of marrying. Opposite him is "The Good Bad Mother" star Ahn Eun Jin, who takes the role of Yoo Gil Chae, a noblewoman who dreams of finding love again after two failed marriages.

Lee Da In and Lee Hak Joo are also to appear in the project. "My Dearest" will have its regular broadcast every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. (KST)
'The First Responders 2'
Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon are back to continue their mission in "The First Responders 2." The series follows the story of the police force members of the fire department, and paramedic team who come together to help their city.
It has been said that the second installment will showcase the upgraded teamwork between the two departments that put out the fires, the police force that solves crimes, and the National Forensic Service (NFS) that catches evidence as they encounter unprecedented events.
The action-adventure series is scheduled to air this August 4 at 10 p.m. (KST) on SBS, a follow-up drama to Kim Tae Ri's "Revenant."
'Moving'
Packed with a stellar and talented cast, Disney+'s superhero-action series "Moving" is finally airing this August 9.

Starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo In Sung, Han Hyo Joo, Go Yoon Jung, and more, the drama depicts the story of teenagers with hidden superhuman powers and their parents who, unbeknownst to them, discover a painful secret from their past. They will join forces to fight powerful dark forces that threaten multiple generations across different eras.
'The Killing Vote'
Lim Ji Yeon is returning to the small-screen with another yet compelling series. Together with Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong, the trio is about to meet the viewers in SBS' "The Killing Vote."
The webtoon-based drama of the same name will narrate the difficult questions about the meaning of justice. The series revolves around a mysterious figure known as 'Dog Mask' who begins holding a nationwide death penalty vote against criminals who dare to escape the law's blind spots.
The political-thriller drama will debut this August 10, and episodes will be released every Thursday and Friday at 9 p.m. (KST) on SBS.
