Hwang Minhyun Stars as Eccentric Student in Upcoming K-drama ‘Study Group’

Hwang Minhyun is set for a back-to-back project this 2023, as the South Korean heartthrob will headline the upcoming K-drama "Study Group."

According to a media outlet, the former NU'EST member has accepted the offer to play the main character in a webtoon-based series.

Hwang Minhyun's agency, Pledis Entertainment, confirmed the news and said that the singer-actor will be joining "Study Group" as Yoon Ga Min.

Following the announcement of his new drama, the team is scheduled to start production in the second half of this year.

Taking on an interesting role, Hwang Minhyun's new drama depicts the story of Yoon Ga Min, an eccentric high school student who wants to go to college.

Unfortunately, he is not gifted in doing academics but only has talent in physical activities, which include fighting.

Speaking of "My Lovely Liar," Hang Minhyun and Kim So Hyun are entertaining viewers with their undeniable chemistry in tvN's rom-com K-drama.

Taking on the role of the secretive next-door neighbor Kim Do Ha, Hwang Minhyun swoons fans with his charm and on-screen synergy with Kim So Hyun, who played Mok Sol Hee, a woman who has a supernatural ability to spot lies.

Airing every Monday and Tuesday, viewers get to watch the latest episode of Hwang Minhyun's drama "My Lovely Liar" through tvN and Viki.

Hwang Minhyun Reveals Most Challenging Part of Being Trainee

Before headline multiple K-dramas, Hwnag Minhyun made a name for himself as a member of the K-pop group NU'EST.

In a YouTube channel, the singer-actor revealed the hardest part of being a trainee and not the rehearsals. According to him, its having to drink more than a liter of milk.

"The most difficult thing during my trainee life was having to drink 1.2L of milk a day," he said, as obtained by a news portal, adding, "Drinking milk was more difficult than practicing. I was able to leave work after eating all of them."

He said that it might be the reason he is tall and towers around 5'11 or 1.81 m.
