Lim Ji Yeon took a trip down memory lane and talked about her movie, "Obsessed." Premiered in 2014, the then-rookie actress starred in an erotic film along with K-drama star Song Seung Heon.
According to Lim Ji Yeon, "Obsessed" is remarkable to her because it was her debut movie.
During her guest appearance on tvN's variety show "You Quiz on the Block," the actress recalled why she accepted the offer despite the film being too sensual for a newbie actress.
Moreover, she also shared how her parents reacted upon watching the movie.
Lim Ji Yeon on Her First Erotic Movie 'Obsessed'
Explaining to host Yoo Jae Suk the reason for starring in the film "Obsessed," Lim Ji Yeon admitted that being in an erotic movie is quite challenging.
The actress said that "it was not easy," but at the time, she was a newbie in the industry and saw the project as "a rare opportunity" for her.
"I really liked the character Jong Gaheun when I read the script, so I wanted to try it," she added.
In the 2014 movie, she takes on the role of Jong Ga Heun, the wife of Ohn Joo Wan, who becomes the mistress of Song Seung Heon.
Rated as R18+, Lim Ji Yeon's movie "Obsessed" contains sexual and explicit scenes.
Lim Ji Yeon Reveals Reaction of Her Parents in 'Obsessed'
Speaking of NSFW scenes, the actress also shared how her parents reacted upon seeing her first movie.
According to Lim Ji Yeon, she was worried that her parents would find it too sexy for her since, at the time, she was "too young" for the role.
The actress mentioned that she's expecting that they will comment negatively and "was so afraid" of how her parents would feel to see her portraying provocative scenes.
"I was very worried about my mother. What if she finds me embarrassing, becomes scared of me, or gets hurt?" she said.
However, her worries died down after hearing what her mother said about her.
Lim Ji Yeon revealed that her mother brought her a bouquet and commented, "My Jiyeon is so pretty."
Although it was a challenging role for her, all her hard work paid off after seeing the support of her family.
"I think that power has a really big impact on me. I was able to not give up and keep on acting because of my mom's support, just like what she did that day," she furthered.

Lim Ji Yeon is now one of the most accomplished actresses of her generation.
Thanks to "The Glory," she had her second heyday and landed the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the Baeksang Arts Award 2023 for her villain role in the revenge drama.

After the hit K-drama with Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon starred in the mystery K-drama "Lies Hidden in My Garden" together with Kim Tae Hee.
It was followed by another interesting K-drama, "The Killing Vote," with Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong.
Portraying police officer Joo Hyun, Lim Ji Yeon's new drama will officially premiere on August 10.
