Rowoon Reveals Reason for Losing Weight for Drama Comeback 'Destined With You'
On the day of the "Destined With You" debut (August 23), Rowoon attended a media press conference for the series alongside co-stars Jo Bo Ah, Ha Jun, and Yura.
The cast shared for the first time some of their behind-the-scenes stories while working on the project.
Rowoon candidly mentioned the preparation he did for his comeback, proving his dedication in portraying the character.

Rowoon confessed that he had lost 8kg (17.6 lbs) for the role. The idol-actor is known for his good features and posture, he always maintains to be in shape despite the jam-packed schedule he has.
He was never chubby nor too thin, but many were surprised with his transformation. The heartthrob explained why he made the move to lose weight.
According to him:
"As Jang Shin Yu's character has a familial history of illness, I lost around 8kg. That's why I came out looking a little bit more handsome. I'm also thankful that it made me look a little more like a manhwa."

During his appearance at the press conference, Rowoon showed a sharper jawline, which made him look like a living webtoon character.
'Destined With You' Update
JTBC's Wednesday-Thursday drama officially met the viewers and it kicked off with a good start. According to Nielsen Korea, episode 1 recorded an average viewership score of 2.9 percent.
On its second day of broadcast, Rowoon and Jo Bo Ah's drama saw a slight drop in rating, garnering an average viewership of 2.4 percent nationwide.
Despite the changes in ratings, the series is receiving enthusiastic responses from viewers for its intriguing and fresh storyline.
It follows the romance story of Jang Shin Yu, a genius lawyer who is under a curse, and Lee Hong Jo, a righteous and bright civil servant who holds the key to Shin Yu's freedom in the form of a banned book that was kept 300 years ago.
As the two finally crossed paths and began to navigate the mysterious connection that they have, the audience is already looking forward to the development of the characters' stories.
"Destined With You" can be streamed on JTBC and Netflix and release two episodes per week.
