"Strong Girl Namsoon" kicked off with an impressive pilot episode after scoring a promising rating and featuring a very familiar face.
Headlined by Lee Yoo Mi as the mighty Gang Nam Soon, the story depicts three generations of strong women in their family.
Born into a line of families with special abilities, her mother, Hwang Geum Joo, played by Kim Jung Eun, is a self-made chaebol, and her grandmother, Gil Joong Gan, portrayed by Kim Hae Sook, is a legend in their neighborhood. They all possess super strength.
As the story highlighted the background of the main cast, viewers noticed a striking celebrity who made a surprise appearance in the first episode.
'Strong Girl Namsoon' Features Cha Eun Woo
In case you are wondering how Cha Eun Woo ends up in "Strong Girl Namsoon" episode 1, he is the ideal Korean guy for Gang Nam Soon.
After spending most of her teenage years in Mongolia, due to an unexpected incident, she decides to find her biological parents in South Korea.
Gang Nam Soon spent years learning to speak the language, doing part-time jobs to fund her trip, and basically preparing her whole life to reunite with her parents.
In addition, Nam Soon also wants to find a man who will make her want to protect her.
Interestingly, her ideal Korean guy is none other than Cha Eun Woo.
In one scene, Nam Soon made a collage showcasing different photos of the idol singer and promised herself that she would be able to meet him.

"Let's meet someday," she said, looking at the notebook along with the caption. With the unexpected cameo of Cha Eun Woo, viewers were delighted to see the surprising appearance of the idol singer.
One even noticed that the ASTRO member seemed to be everywhere these days, and fans totally loved it!
Other than Cha Eun Woo, a character from "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," where "Strong Girl Namsoon" was based, also appeared in the pilot episode.
Veteran actor Kim Won Hae had a special appearance, taking on the role of Polearm Seller, who tried to con Nam Soon's mother.
It can be recalled that he was also part of the original series, portraying one of the gangsters, Kim Kwang Bok, whom Do Bong Soon singlehandedly attacked.
Viewers were happy to see a callback, especially how the character managed to connect his previous role to the present.
"Strong Girl Namsoon" airs every Saturday and Sunday via JTBC and Netflix for global viewers.
Viewers will get to see episodes 3 and 4 on October 14 and 15.
