At the height of Yoo Ah In's investigation, the court dismissed the first arrest warrant filed by the prosecution against the actor.

Per report, the Seoul court rejected the request for the issuance of a warrant in May 2023, noting that the other party failed to provide concrete and substantial evidence to prove claims that Yoo Ah In has tampered with the evidence.

"It is difficult to conclude that there is concern about destroying evidence or fleeing," the court says, as obtained by the outlet, adding that Yoo Ah In "has admitted to a large part of the basic facts" involving him to use of illegal drugs such as cocaine and marijuana.

Back in September, the prosecution filed a second request for a warrant of arrest, stating that Yoo Ah In has "habitually taken illegal narcotics and acquired such substances," which they referred to as "medical shopping," and used illegal means, particularly other patients.
