Rowoon Departs From SF9 to Focus on His Acting Career

Rowoon debuted as an SF9 member in 2016. However, in September it was announced that the heartthrob will officially leave the group to focus on his acting career.

Following his departure, he posted a handwritten letter and sincerely apologized to the fans for leaving the group.

Despite receiving disappointment from the crowd, some fans continue to support the Korean star in his career as an actor.

Rowoon Dominates 2023 With Back-to-Back K-Dramas

Meanwhile, the young star's acting career is blossoming as he has been working nonstop since 2022. After "Tomorrow," Rowoon welcomed 2023 with two major dramas.

In August, he returned with fantasy-romance drama "Destined With You" with Jo Bo Ah. The series immediately gained global popularity, and fans lauded Rowoon's acting and his undeniable chemistry with Jo Bo Ah.

Following this, he made an immediate return through KBS' historical-romance "The Matchmakers." Since the drama is still ongoing, fans and viewers enjoy watching the star with promising actress Cho Yi Hyun.

Rowoon explained that the reason for choosing "The Matchmakers" as his next work was because he wanted to try comedy. Since it is one of the most challenging genres, he also wants to push himself to show his humorous side through this project.

While he was preparing for these two projects, Rowoon even made a cameo in the previous Netflix series "A Time Called You," where he had no appearance fee. His friend and colleague, Ahn Hyo Seop was the reason for his unexpected cameo in the series, which also became a hot topic on its release.

Furthermore, Rowoon is expected to have a busy year and will kick off 2024 with his fan meeting tour. FNC Entertainment is yet to announce whether there will be additional countries and dates for his fan meet.
