Yoo Ah In abstained from media interviews after wrapping up his second trial.
The award-winning actor, who is known for his appearance in Netflix's "Hellbound," attended the trial at the Seoul Central District Court regarding his involvement in charges of habitual drug use.
Yoo Aj In Finishes Second Trial Within 30 Minutes
Sporting a new look, the actor completed the hearing with a remarkably brief moment after arriving at the Criminal Agreement Division 25-1 at 10 a.m. KST in front of the judges, Chief Judges Park Jeong Gil, Ji Gwi Yeon, and Park Jeong Je.
According to reports, the second trial only lasted 30 minutes.
However, after leaving the courtroom, Yoo Ah In chose not to disclose any details or share his insights regarding the update as he exited the vicinity.
As for reports, local media outlets revealed that the actor's legal counsel reportedly admitted that the "Chicago Typewriter" star used marijuana but refuted the prosecution's indictment.
The defense lawyer pointed out that the accusations against the actor regarding the use of propofol and charges of instigating marijuana smoking and destroying evidence were "exaggerated."
Since February 2023, Yoo Ah In has been facing controversy involving habitual drug use.
The award-winning star faced charges of administering medical narcotics multiple times.
Yoo Ah In is believed to have used illegal drugs on 181 occasions between September 2020 and March 2022. It was also suspected that he acquired the medication from various hospitals and clinics in Seoul and used it regularly.
In addition, he also tested positive on five drugs, which include propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, and midazolam.
The said narcotics were allegedly used for sedative anesthesia during cosmetic procedures, with some being highly regulated in Korea and classified as psychotropic drugs.
At the height of the controversy, the actor took to social media and apologized for the second time.
Following the grueling 12-hour investigation at the Seoul Central District Court for his first trial, Yoo Ah In's Instagram featured a lengthy letter stating how sorry he is for making "an incomplete apology after the police investigation ended."
"I have disappointed many people who care about me and love me after this disgraceful incident. I am sorry," he added.
Unfortunately, his upcoming projects and brand deals have been affected by the scandal.

One of the much-awaited projects of Yoo Ah In is his return in "Hellbound" season 2.
Unfortunately, Netflix and the actor made a mutual decision to drop out of the cast after the controversy broke.
He was replaced by the equally talented Kim Sung Seol as Jung Jin Soo.
As for his supposed K-drama comeback, "Goodbye Earth," which stars Ahn Eun Jin, is temporarily postponed as the actor deals with the issue.
