Viewers might possibly watch "Dear M" after years of delay due to the controversy surrounding lead star Park Hye Soo.

According to reports, broadcast network KBS is looking into releasing the youth romance series despite years of postponement.

In an update, an official from the network hints at the possibility of "Dear M's" premiere since the release of the K-drama is under discussion.

"Various discussions are underway regarding the broadcasting of 'Dear.M.,'" the KBS official said, adding that, as of the moment, "nothing has been finalized."

It can be recalled that the show's initial release is slated to air in February 2021. Unfortunately for Park Hye Soo, she was criticized due to her participation in school violence.

The accusation was made by her former classmates, who claimed that they were verbally abused and physically assaulted by the actress during her younger years in school.

As for Park Hye Soo, who was a transferee at the time, she pointed out that instead of being a perpetrator, she experienced being victimized by her classmates, particularly bullying,verbal abuse, and sexual harassment.

Meanwhile, netizens have mixed reactions regarding the possible debut of the series.

Some users of the online community questioned the need to feature a drama series with a school violence assailant as the lead actor.

Due to the massive controversy surrounding the actress, her new drama, "Dear M," got postponed.

Despite the delay in release, Park Hye Soo's new movie' was only available overseas.

Starring Park Hye Soo as second-year student Ma Jo Ah, who goes into the Business Administration Department, she possesses a high interest in uncovering the identity of "M.".

Joining the actress as a fellow lead star, "Dear M" also featured Jong Jae Hyun, Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Jin Hyu, and Bae Hyun Sung, who will appear as the show's lead stars.

The upcoming series is a youth romance drama that follows the lives of four students at Soyeon University.

They are set to undergo a quest to find out the identity of the elusive writer of a community article known as "M."

Meanwhile, KBS teams up with Playlist Studio, with "Dear M" being their debut in the public broadcast industry.

However, after the controversy, the K-drama was sold to Viki.com for an exclusive broadcast overseas.

As for the possible time slot and schedule of the show, viewers might get to watch "Dear M" every Monday and Tuesday, replacing the ongoing series "Love Song for Illusion."
