Is It True? Park Eun Bin's Talent Fee Per Episode Will Be $225,000 in New K-Drama 'Hyper Knife'
According to a news outlet, the industry is paying attention to actress Park Eun Bin, whether she will exceed $225,000 (300 Million KRW) per drama episode.
Park Eun Bin is now one of the most popular and buzzworthy actresses in the industry. It has been said that after her latest drama "Castaway Diva," she is in last-minute discussions to headline an 8-episode OTT drama "Hyper Knife." This will be her first-ever villain role since her acting debut.
She is also expected to share the frame with actor Sol Kyung Gu, which raises anticipation among viewers.
"Hyper Knife" is a medical-crime thriller series that foretells the story of a doctor and murderer, reuniting with the teacher who sent him into the abyss. Park Eun Bin will take the role of a psychopathic doctor, while Sol Kyung Gyu was cast opposite the actress.
After reading the script up to part 4, Park Eun Bin and Sol Kyung Gyu agreed to begin filming at the end of March, and are now negotiating their appearance fees.
According to the source, Namoo Actors, Park Eun Bin's agency, proposed an amount of $225, 000 (300 million KRW) per episode. The producers of the project, Vlad Studio and Disney Plus are said to be busy tapping the calculator. Since it is negotiable, the decision will likely be made between $188, 000 and $225, 000.
Regarding this news, a representative from the drama's production company said that it is a reasonable amount that Park Eun Bin can receive. They added, "It will be a win-win as awareness and purchasing power have increased not only in Southeast Asia but also in Japan and North America with the hit of her drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.'"
Park Eun Bin's Agency Denies Issue About the Actress' Talent Fee
Later on, Park Eun Bin's agency released a short statement denying the news and said that it was not true and the ongoing issue was groundless.
The drama's production, Vlad Studio, and Disney Plus also released their statement.
"The news circulating is not true. It is unfounded, and we are only talking positively about the script with actress Park Eun Bin. She also met the director and the writer and only had meetings about the drama."
They added they are still negotiating with Namoo Actors about Park Eun Bin's talent fee and they felt embarrassed that such news began to appear on various media outlets.
