Song Joong Ki as North Korean Defector in 'My Name is Loh Ki Wan'
Transforming into a North Korean defector named Loh Ki Wan, he struggles to be acknowledged after choosing to escape his home country and live in Belgium.
Along with him is a woman named Marie, who has lost her reason for living. As they live their lives as refugees in a foreign country, Loh Ki Wan experiences unimaginable struggles to survive.
With this, the South Korean star will surely captivate viewers with his acting spectrum and unexpected transformation in his new role.
On Netflix's official Instagram page, fans are thrilled to see Song Joong Ki's movie comeback.
Moreso, some predicted that "My Name is Loh Ki Wan" would send them to tears as they watched the film.
'My Name is Loh Ki Wan' Release Date and Cast
Netflix previously announced the "My Name is Loh Ki Wan" release date, which is set for March 1 and will exclusively air on the streaming platform.
However, unlike other Netflix K-contents, the upcoming film is expected to be rated as not suitable for youth audiences. That is because the film features no restrictions on the level of expression as it focuses on the powerful story and journey of Loh Ki Wan.
Joining Song Joong Ki as the lead star is Choi Sung Eun as Marie, while the A-lister is reunited with Jo Han Chul, who worked with him in "Vincenzo" and "Reborn Rich."
Adding to the list of "My Name Is Loh Ki Wan" cast members are Seo Hyun Woo as Ki Wan's maternal uncle, Eun Cheol, Kim Sung Ryung as Song Joong Ki's in-screen mother, and Lee Il Hwa as Jeong Joo, Marie's mom.

Song Joong Ki to Return in K-drama?
After "Reborn Rich," Joong Ki focused on starring in movies.
However, it seemed like he would have a K-drama comeback after reports cited that he was selected to headline a series penned by the "Run On" writer.
According to an outlet, his agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed that the actor "received an offer to star in the new drama "MY YOUTH," and he is reviewing the offer."
The upcoming series will also be produced by Song Joong Ki's label, HighZium Studio.
