Lee Kwang Soo Boasts Long-Term Friendship With 'Running Man' Cast
In the latest episode of SBS TV's variety program "Running Man," which aired on February 4, fans were given a surprise after Lee Kwang Soo made a surprise appearance.
Cast members Yoo Jae Seok, Ji Seok Jin and Yang Se Chan called former member Lee Kwang Soo while eating noodles, teasing the actor about his absence.
They joked, "Why aren't you recording? Just appear for 30 minutes each week and go. You'll receive 20 USD per day."
Lee Kwang Soo, who has been their friend for more than a decade, yelled at Yoo Jae Seok, saying, "Jae Seok hyung (older brother)!"
To recall, Lee Kwang Soo left the cast of "Running Man" after being in the show for more than 11 years to focus on rehabilitation treatment due to an unexpected accident.
Even after leaving the show, Lee Kwang Soo maintained a beautiful friendship with the "Running Man" members. According to the actor, he's in frequent contact with his "hyungs."
"Although I left abruptly, my co-stars didn't stop contacting me so I don't really feel any sadness nor regrets," he shared. "They often buy me delicious food and exercise together."

Since October 2023, the actor has been recording his brand new K-drama "No Way Out," which depicts the big feud between the people who dream to survive while having a 16 million USD on their heads.
Lee Kwang Soo plays the role of Yoon Chang Jae, a butcher who tries to reclaim the money that he lost in gambling. It also stars Yoo Jae Myung and Kim Mu Yeol.
It's set to be released this 2024, however, the unexpected demise of the late actor Lee Sun Kyun contributed to a lot of changes so there's no news about its official release date yet.
Meanwhile, his web drama "Karma" with Gong Seung Yeon, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Sung Kyun, Park Hae Soo, Shin Min Ah and more is also underway.
