Park Shin Hye dished on her experience filming "Doctor Slump" and returning to K-drama after 3 years.

During her guest appearance in the YouTube show "Salon Drip 2" with co-star Park Hyung Sik, the actress also mentioned her true feelings about her hiatus and portraying the role of a high school student again.

Will Park Shin Hye Quit Playing Student Roles?

"Doctor Slump" is one of the highly-anticipated K-dramas of 2024 since it also marks Park Shin Hye's comeback.

In addition, this is also her reunion project with Park Hyung Sik since the airing of "The Heirs" in 2013.

As for her on-screen return, the actress discussed her character, Nam Ha Neul.

In the interview, she mentioned a scene where she wore a high school uniform.

The 33-year-old actress said that they "should have stopped wearing school uniforms by now." This refers to a scene where she and Park Hyung Sik, who play the role of Yeo Jeong Woo, are high school rivals.

However, host Jang Do Yeon mentioned "Moving" star Cha Tae Hyun, who also did the same thing and played the role of a high school student at 47.

"So what? Are you trying to catch up with Cha Tae Hyun? Cha Tae Hyun is the best actor in student acting. He is almost like a vampire," she said, as obtained by an outlet.

To recall, the renowned actor mentioned in a previous interview that he thought that they would cast a young Cha Tae Hyun for his high school scenes in "Moving."

To his surprise, he was asked to play the character, and he wore a uniform.

The same goes for Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik for their K-drama "Doctor Slump," who also donned school uniforms in the early episodes of the show.

Park Shin Hye Reveals Reason for Joining 'Flower Boy Next Door'

The 33-year-old actress made her debut as a child star, but it came to a point where she prioritized school over acting.

However, Park Shin Hye revealed what pushed her to return to K-drama and join the 2013 rom-com "Flower Boy Next Door."

In the same interview, she shared that all of her friends at that time were working.

"So I heard a lot of people say, 'Isn't Shin Hye filming these days?'" she recalled, adding that her excuse was that she was focusing on her studies but later found herself joining the rom-com K-drama.

Park Shin Hye graduated from Youngpa Girls' High School and had a theater degree at Chung-Ang University, where she studied for eight years.

Some of her famous classmates include Go Ara, Kim Bum, Kim So Eun, and Kang Ha Neul.
