‘Chicken Nugget’ Teaser Features Surprise Cameo of THIS ‘Squid Game’ Star

Netflix continues to tease viewers with an entertaining K-drama lineup this 2024, starting off with the webtoon-based series "Chicken Nugget."

Netflix Releases 'Chicken Nugget' Trailer

The streaming giant revealed a sneak peek at what to expect in the upcoming mystery-comedy K-drama, headlined by Ryu Seung Ryong.

In addition, viewers will get to see his onscreen chemistry with Ahn Jae Hong and Kim Yoo Jung, who plays as his daughter.

Directed and written by Lee Byung Hun of "Extreme Job," "Be Melodramtic," and "Dream," the upcoming K-drama depicts the journey of a father, Choi Seon Man (Ryu Seung Ryong), who is trying to bring back his daughter Choi Min Ah (Kim Yoo Jung), after she was turned into a chicken nugget because of a mysterious machine.

In his journey, Ko Baek Joong (Ahn Jae Hong) joins Seon Man to figure out how to return Min Ah to her old self.

However, in the "Chicken Nugget" trailer, a familiar face appears for a cameo. Jung Ho Yeon, whose popularity skyrocketed after joining "Squid Game," appears for a special role.

Viewers are delighted to see the actress return to the small screen after her notable K-drama debut.

Fans are also excited to see Jung Ho Yeon on Netflix, raising curiosity regarding the character she will play in "Chicken Nugget."

As mentioned, Jung Ho Yeon captured the hearts of viewers after taking on the role of Kang Sae Byeok in Netflix's "Squid Game."

From then on, all eyes are on the rookie actress, who will take on more challenging roles in the future.

Interestingly, Jung Ho Yeon returned to the modeling scene, but this time she is representing the brand as an ambassador.

Despite "Chicken Nugget" being her second K-drama, the 29-year-old beauty appears in her Hollywood debut for the movie "The Governesses."

'Chicken Nugget' Cast and Airing Date

Joining a slew of K-dramas airing on Netflix this year, "Chicken Nugget" also featured an interesting cast lineup.

Kim Nam Hee, who also appeared in "Reborn Rich," "Family: The Unbreakable Bond," and more, joins as a supporting actor.

Meanwhile, Netflix confirmed that the "Chicken Nuggest" release date is set for March 15, exclusively on the streaming platform.

In addition, the mystery comedy K-drama will have a total of 12 episodes for the entire season, airing every Friday.

While, other than "Chicken Nugget," the platform is ready to release new original series and sequels, including "Parasyte: The Grey, the highly anticipated "Resident Playbook," "Sweet Home 3," "Hierarchy," "Officer Black Belt," and more.

As for the upcoming sequel, Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon return as Yoon Chae Ok and Jang Tae Sang.
