Song Hye Kyo Gears Up for the Movie 'Dark Nuns'

After her hit K-drama "The Glory" in 2022 to 2023, Song Hye Kyo finally makes her return to the silver screen with an interesting film.

Following the news regarding the confirmed cast lineup, the Hallyu superstar released behind-the-scenes photos during the script reading for "Dark Nuns."

In an Instagram update, the actress gave her followers a glimpse of what happened during the table-reading.

Song Hye Kyo's Instagram featured name tags of the actress and her co-stars, Jeon Yeo Bin, spotted scanning the pages of the script.

As mentioned, the duo confirmed to headline the forthcoming movie "Dark Nuns," a spin-off to the 2018 blockbuster movie "The Priests," which starred Kang Do Won and Kim Yoon Seok.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be released movie is directed and written by Jang Jae Hyun. He is also the genius behind "The Priests" and the new movie "Exhuma."

'Dark Nuns' Cast & Details

Production of "Dark Nuns" will begin on February 22 with Lee JIn Wook, veteran actor Heo Joon Ho, and child star Moon Woo Jin joining the series.

In the upcoming movie, Song Hye Kyo takes on the role of Sister Junia, a determined and brave servant of God who will do whatever it takes to save the young boy's life.

Joining her in her journey is Sister Michaela, played by Jeon Yeo Bin. Amid the chaotic situation, she is curious about Sister Junia and her mission towards the boy. This pushes her to help her in her journey to save a life.

As for Lee Jin Wook, the versatile star headlines as Father Paolo. He is the priest and psychiatrist who believes that science is the only way to save the boy.

Lastly, veteran actor Heo Joon Ho plays as Father Andrea, a priest who performs exorcism, and Moon Woo Jin plays as the young boy possessed by an evil spirit.

With this amazing lineup, fans are anticipating to finally witness their synergy on-screen.

On the other hand, "Dark Nuns" is Song Hye Kyo's comeback to the big screen after "The Queens" in 2015.

Meanwhile, as the A-lister gears for her return to movies, viewers are hoping to see the Hallyu queen in K-drama again.

It can be recalled that her last series was the hit K-drama "The Glory," which was extended to Season 2 because of the outpouring positive response.

The series also won Song Hye Kyo her first Best Actress award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.
