"Pyramid Game" is among the most anticipated series in Hallyu today, and it depicts the cruel survival war in a high school wherein popularity and beauty hold one's fate against school violence.
The show also stars Jang Da Ah, a rookie star who is set to make her debut this year. She's well-known as the older sister of the K-pop "It Girl" Wonyoung of the girl group IVE.
Because of her connection to a celebrity, many looked forward to seeing her in person. Sadly, she left the audiences surprised by her no-show stint.
According to the production team of "Pyramid Game," the rookie actress tested positive for COVID-19, which disabled her ability to attend the production presentation.
Jang Da Ah decided not to make an appearance due to the diagnosis but promised the spectators to debut with great work and impressive acting.
