'Exhuma' Named As Highest-Grossing Film of 2024
The success streak continues for Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun's occult horror film "Exhuma" as it becomes the highest-grossing film of 2024.
On March 4, the Korean Film Council announced that the film has recorded more than 6 million moviegoers in only 11 days, unlocking a new milestone for the film in the South Korean cinema.
The film bested Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's "The Roundup," the biggest box office hit of 2022 and Hwang Jung Min and Jung Woo Sung's "12.12: The Day" of 2023.
"Exhuma" is then declared as the biggest production in 2024 as it grossed over 45 million USD, proving its huge success and popularity.

'Exhuma' Cast Extends Gratitude To Fans
To celebrate the film's huge achievement, its stars Kim Go Eun, Choi Min Sik and Yoo Hae Jin expressed their gratitude by writing "thank you" messages for the fans.
Lee Do Hyun, who is a member of the cast ensemble, was unable to participate in the congratulatory photos as he's currently serving in the military.
The cast and production team asks the public to continue supporting the film as it enters its second week of screening in cinemas nationwide.
On the other hand, "Exhuma" focuses on the story of two shamans, a mortician and a feng shui master who work together as they relocate a tomb in exchange for a huge amount of money.
