After a long wait, Song Joong Ki finally returned to the spotlight with the drama film "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" with Choi Sung Eun.

The actor displayed a different side of himself as he transformed into a North Korean defector who falls in love with a jaded woman from Belgium.

Song Joong Ki's high scale drama film "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" finally hit the screens on March 1, much to the fans' delight.

On March 6, days after its premiere, Song Joong Ki sat down in an interview with JTBC News, and shared his honest thoughts on his new acting project.

"My Name Is Loh Kiwan" depicts the woes and struggles of a North Korean defector who finds refuge in Belgium and falls in love with a woman who has given up in life.

To perfect the film, Song Joong Ki along with the production team stayed in Budapest, Hungary for five long months, filming continuously almost without a day off.

According to the actor, he wasn't able to go on a vacation due to the time constraints. He said, "There were more important things to prioritize especially since I was the lead actor."

Song Joong Ki revealed that he approached the work with a lot of worries as if he was a producing director, proving his dedication to his craft.

In addition to that, he also had to take care of his wife, Katy Louise Saunders, who was pregnant at the time as she stayed with him throughout the filming.

Thankfully, everything went well for the actor. Moreover, "My Loh Name Is Loh Kiwan" continuously receives rave feedback from viewers around the world.

As of this writing, the film has already taken the third spot in the Netflix Top 10 Non-English works category, symbolizing its popularity and success.

Song Joong Ki Dishes On Bed Scene With Choi Sung Eun

Besides his heart-thumping scenes as Song Joong Ki escapes his impending demise in "My Name Is Loh Kiwan," fans also gave emphasis on his intense love scene with Choi Sung Eun.

Many fans were shocked to discover that the actor did a bed scene in his first-ever project after marrying Katy Louise Saunders, and becoming a family man.

In the interview, Song Joong Ki cleared up the controversial scene. He said, "There was a reason why the production team went with that direction and I have no authority in that aspect."

The actor agreed that it was a strong decision to make but he assured fans that he didn't feel pressured despite the expectations from both staff and prospective viewers.

"I felt no pressure at all," Song Joong Ki said. "Choi Sung Eun, whom I met for the first time, didn't feel any pressure as well. She and I got along very well."
