Trustworthy and notable stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won met with writer Park Ji Eun, the creative mind behind the record-breaking series "Crash Landing on You." Attention is focused on whether they can bring new colors on primetime through "Queen of Tears."

"Queen of Tears" follows the humorous and miraculous romance story of Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo, a married couple who manage to survive a crisis and stay together against all odds.

The drama is penned by Park Ji Eun, who has the highest ratings for tvN dramas of all time with "Crash Landing on You" starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin. The cast is garnering attention ahead of the drama's release.

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will play a married couple who is on the verge of divorce due to their in-laws.

The male lead said that it was difficult to express the excitement that remains even though they have been married for three years. Kim Ji Won, on the other hand, commented, "We were worried about similar things. I have been playing a character that I developed a crush on after getting to know him without knowing him, but it was difficult because I had to have already developed feelings for him as soon as I met him."

'Queen of Tears' Team Aims to Make History in Viewership Ratings

"Queen of Tears" is the next project of Park Ji Eun's "Crash Landing on You," which achieved an average viewership rating of 21.7 percent and a peak of 24.1 percent in the final episode. It ranked first in tvN's drama history. Due to her new work, attention is focused on whether "Queen of Tears" can also achieve high viewership ratings.

Director Jang Young Woo stated," I hope viewers around the world feel happiness after watching the drama." Director Kim Hee Won added, "I want the drama to achieve high ratings, but they are heaven-sent, so I just want to welcome them humbly."

They added that if the "Queen of Tears" viewership rating makes history and beats Park Ji Eun's "Crash Landing on You" rating record, they will upload a video of the cast members bowing as a sign of appreciation to the viewers.
