Kim Soo Hyun returns to the small screen with the much-awaited rom-com K-drama "Queen of Tears."
Along with Kim Ji Won as the lead star, viewers are excited to see their chemistry as they take on interesting characters.
Ahead of the show's highly anticipated premiere, Kim Soo Hyun talks about his on-screen comeback and working relationship with Kim Ji Won.
During the press conference of "Queen of Tears," Kim Soo Hyun mentioned his hiatus and the reason behind it.
Kim Soo Hyun Talks About His 3-Year Hiatus
The South Korean star's last appearance in a K-drama was the 2021 thriller mystery series "One Ordinary Day," which is a remake of the 2008 British TV series "Criminal Justice."
After 3 years, he decided to take on a different genre, this time with Kim Ji Won.

In a report, Kim Soo Hyun gets honest about his 3-year break from the industry.
According to him, he wasn't trying to take a break "as if he were in the military"; instead, he was looking for the perfect project for him.
Interestingly, he was selected to headline TVN's upcoming K-drama, "Queen of Tears."
Kim Soo Hyun said that it will be his first time portraying the role of a married couple.
For his K-drama comeback, Kim Soo Hyun plays Baek Hyeon Woo. He works as the legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group.
Interestingly, this is where he meets the chaebol heiress Hong Hae In, played by Kim Ji Won.
Kim Soo Hyun's Working Relationship with Kim Ji Won
Besides his return to the industry, Kim Soo Hyun also dishes on his chemistry with Kim Ji Won on and off camera.
He said that the staff and the people behind the drama will agree when he describes his female co-star as someone who is "truly a warm-hearted person."
Expressing how "nice" the actress is, Kim Soo Hyun recalls his unforgettable moment with the actress.
"Particularly on set, whether during acting or not, she shows deep consideration."
The South Korean heartthrob continued to praise his co-star and revealed the nickname they have for Kim Ji Won.
"I would like to call her the 'Queen of Consideration' or, secondarily, the 'Queen of Concentration.'"
According to the top star, Kim Ji Won was 100 percent focused on the set and her work.
"Honestly, there were times when I lost my concentration, but looking at Jiwon, I could regain my focus. She exudes incredible energy despite her petite frame, and in various ways, she provided a lot of help," he said, expressing his gratitude to the actress.
"Queen of Tears" will premiere on March 9, airing every Saturday and Sunday.
Viewers get to watch the K-drama through TVN, TVING, and Netflix.
