After dominating the idol stage and the Hollywood scene, BLACKPINK Jennie is now branching out on becoming Hallyu's entertainment queen.

While appearing on the variety program "Apartment 404," the idol-actress announces her participation in Kim Tae Ho's upcoming show "My Name Is Gabriel" with Park Bo Gum.

BLACKPINK Jennie Confirmed To Appear In 'My Name Is Gabriel'

On March 11, Star News announced that BLACKPINK Jennie will appear in producer Kim Tae Ho's new entertainment show "My Name Is Gabriel."

Earlier this month, seasoned actor Park Bo Gum confirmed that he will join in the new project alongside Ji Chang Wook, Yeom Hye Ran comedians Park Myung Soo and Hong Jin Kyung.

"My Name Is Gabriel" is an entertainment show that was originally featured in MBC's "Infinite Challenge" in the past, and is leaning more towards the life of a non-celebrity who goes abroad.

In the re-upped version of the show this 2024, it stars celebrities who receive Western names which they will use as they live differently in a foreign country.

The variety program marks Jennie's first meeting with producer director Kim Tae Ho, whom she is a fan of, who created "Infinite Challenge," "Hangout With Yoo," "Seoul Check-In" and more.

With this, fans of the idol-actress are looking forward to seeing how she copes with a new environment while surrounded by new people through the show.

Meanwhile, Jennie established her own personal label Odd Atelier (OA) this 2024. In addition, she is currently starring in the variety program "Apartment 404" with Yoo Jae Seok and more on tvN.

'My Name Is Gabriel' Further Details & Release Date

The cast lineup includes actors Park Bo Gum, Ji Chang Wook and Yeom Hye Ran, BLACKPINK Jennie, and comedians Park Myung Soo and Hong Jin Kyung so far.

Currently, the casting lineup hasn't been finalized yet. Once it's completed, "My Name Is Gabriel" begins filming at the end of month with Kim Tae Ho's guidance.

According to producer director Kim Tae Ho, they aim to release the pilot episode in June. He said, "Everything is being prepared. I plan to deliver a work with diverse cast, and filmed in various locations overseas. Stay tuned."

With that said, the brand new entertainment show will be released within the year via JTBC, some time this summer. Make sure to check it out.
