The actress has been receiving praise for her performance in the newest rom-com series, yet she had to stop doing this for almost a year in order to portray her character flawlessly.

'Queen of Tears' Lead Stars Make Their Guest Appearance in 'Salon Drip 2'

On March 19, Kim Ji Won together with "Queen of Tears" co-stars Kim Soo Hyun and Park Sung Hoon appeared in the recent episode of the entertainment talk show "Salon Drip 2."

With the continues success of their new drama, the cast members shared some of their interesting journeys working on their first project together.

During the interview, Kim Ji Won made a shocking revelation on how she was committed to bringing her character to life. She plays the role of Hong Hae In, a chaebol heiress who is known as the queen of the Queens department store.

The lead actress shared that she moderates her food for health and work.

Kim Ji Won Sacrificed Not Eating Chinese Food to Maintain Her Appearance for Her Role in 'Queen of Tears'

"I eat moderately for my health, but this time, it is also for my work since my role requires me to wear a lot of different clothes and show off. So I worked hard to take care of it for about a year."

She surprised everyone with her revelation, "I also went on a diet. I didn't eat heavy food. I think I haven't eaten Chinese food in about a year."

Kim Ji Won loves to eat Chinese food, however, due to the nature of her work and the demands of her role, the actress stopped eating her favorite food to maintain her appearance for the role.

Jang Do Yeon then asked her, "Didn't you eat Chapagetti?" Kim Ji Won replied, "I didn't eat it. After filming, I bought Sacheon Chapagetti with the intention of eating it after work. But since I have a busy promotional schedule. I still have to use my face. I'm going to eat it after this. I am already excited."
