'Queen of Tears' Removes Kim Soo Hyun & Kim Ji Won's Back Hug Scene

On March 23 and 24, tvN released "Queen of Tears" Episodes 5 and 6, which amassed positive responses from the audience.

Following the latest chapter, tvN dropped some behind-the-scenes clips from the recent episodes.

But aside from the excitement of seeing Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won being close behind the scenes, eagle-eyed fans spotted a scene that was filmed but was eventually left out.

In particular, it was the scene where Baek Hyun Woo asked to sleep together with Hong Hae In after not sharing a bed for a long time. Since they are making an effort to make their marriage work again, viewers were expecting an intimate scene in Episode 6.

Instead, the duo acted like a new couple, feeling awkward and shy, simply sitting close and chatting to each other.

Later on, Hae In falls asleep, while her husband quietly watches her sleeping and gently holds her hand.

Back in the behind-the-scenes footage, on set of the drama, it was revealed that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won actually filmed a more intimate gesture, where Hyun Woo gave Hae In a back hug as they both headed towards the bed.

Viewers React To Kim Soo Hyun & Kim Ji Won's Deleted Scene

While watching the deleted scene, viewers couldn't help but feel disappointed and wonder why it did not make it to the final cut.

  • "I'll never forgive them for robbing us."
  • "Why didn't they include this scene, omg!"

Others are also intrigued by the intimate back hug between the screen couple. Meanwhile, viewers speculated that in the said scene, Hyun Woo wanted more intimacy, but Hae In didn't agree.

However, despite the disappointment, some viewers think cutting the scene was justified for the reason that Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In just reconciled, and they are still getting used to being around each other.

In addition, having an intense scene might have felt a bit rushed. Others also expressed that removing the scene might make the characters' emotional development look more natural.
