Kim Sae Ron's Controversy
"The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" star was embroiled in a huge scandal in 2022 due to a drunk driving incident.
Kim Sae Ron was fired for driving under the influence after crashing into an electric transformer, causing disruption to businesses.
Despite her apology, she was criticized for her action, which led her to step down from an upcoming project.
In a handwritten letter, the controversial actress apologized to the merchants who were affected by the incident, as well as her colleagues-producers, fellow actors, and staff members for "hindering the production."
At the time, she was scheduled to headline the SBS K-drama "Trolley," but after her decision to cancel her appearance, she was replaced by rising actress Chung Soo Bin.
In addition to this, her appearance in Netflix's "Bloodhounds" was reduced to appease the discomfort of viewers.
Due to the public's outrage, Kim Sae Ron has decided to take a brief hiatus.
However, weeks before the update regarding "Dongchimi," Kim Sae Ron once again made headlines after speculation regarding her relationship with former labelmate Kim Soo Hyun emerged.
The actress' now deleted Instagram Story featured a candid photo of her and the "Queen of Tears" actor, raising speculations about their romance.
However, Kim Soo Hyun's agency immediately shut down the rumors and denied that he was in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron.
