Lee Do Hyun is reaping the rewards of his hard work as the actor has garnered over 10 million followers on Instagram.
The South Korean heartthrob recently appeared in the blockbuster movie "Exhuma," which has received massive responses from the public since its release.
Lee Do Hyun's Instagram Rakes 10 Million Followers
On Lee Do Hyun's Instagram, the actor now has 10.3 million followers and counting.
The actor often shares a glimpse of his projects, which include behind-the-scenes work and collaborations and endorsements with brands.
Interestingly, Lee Do Hyun's massive increase in his Instagram followers comes after the huge popularity of "Exhuma."
Since its theatrical release on February 16, the movie has been getting good reviews and positive feedback from the public.
Interestingly, "Exhuma" hit its first million views three days after the premiere, and after 40 days from its debut, the horror film scored a record-breaking 11 million views.
On top of that, Lee Do Hyun's movie becomes the first Korean occult horror film to hit the 10 million mark and the first 2024 movie to reach the milestone.
In addition to this, "Exhuma" came in as the 23rd Korean film in box office history to achieve such a number of moviegoers in less than a month since release.
Other than this, the movie was also invited to the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and is nominated for multiple categories at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, which include Best Movie, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and acting nods for Kim Go Eun, Choi Min Shik and Yoo Hae Jin.
Viewers get to see Lee Do Hyun team up with Kim Go Eun as he transforms into the shaman's apprentice, Yoon Bong Gil, while the "Yumi's Cells" star portrays the role of the young shaman named Lee Hwa Rim.
As they take on a challenging quest involving serial paranormal incidents. The duo worked alongside top-notch geomancer Kim Sang Deok, played by Choi Min Shik, and mortician Yeong Geun, portrayed by Yoo Hae Jin.
Directed and written by Jang Jae Hyun of the 2015 movie "The Priests," "Exhuma" depicts the story of a group of "grave callers" who were hired by a wealthy family to save their newborn child.
During their journey, the group experiences mysterious incidents as they carry out the exhumation.
What's Next for Lee Do Hyun?
Lee Do Hyun is fulfilling his military service duties after enlisting in 2023 and joining the Republic of Korea Air Force's military band.
His last K-drama project was a cameo role in Seo In Guk's "Death's Game," Part 2, while his last big screen appearance was in "Exhuma."
