'Queen of Tears' Star Park Sung Hoon's Villain Roles Got Him To Stardom

Park Sung Hoon began to make his name known in 2022 after he starred in the record-breaking revenge drama "The Glory," where he played the character of Jeon Jae Joon, a bully.

He gave viewers a breath of fresh air as he portrayed the drama's antagonist. He scared the audience with his creepy, psychopath-like performance, leaving a strong impression.

Following this, the actor joined the star-studded cast of one of tvN's high-budgeted series "Queen of Tears."

Park Sung Hoon once again caught the public's attention for portraying an even more evil role in the weekend drama. He gives life to Yoon Eun Sung, an intelligent villain with both ruthlessness and viciousness. According to some, the character has evolved from the psychopath Jeon Jae Joon.

He even received hate comments on his Instagram account as "Queen of Tears" fans expressed their anger towards Park Sung Hoon's character.

As such, despite his antagonist role in the series, the 39-year-old actor remains at the top of the popularity index list for drama actors with his eerie but impressive acting.

Park Sung Hoon indeed entered his prime era with big projects on his portfolio.

Park Sung Hoon To Headline Netflix's 'Squid Game' Season 2

It is expected that his heyday will likely continue as he is also confirmed to star in the highly-anticipated Netflix series "Squid Game 2."

Making it more meaningful for him, "Squid Game 2" marks Park Sung Hoon's 50th work. Fans and viewers are now looking forward to seeing another delicate acting from him.

Since he appeared as the villain in "Queen of Tears" and "The Glory," the crowd is wondering if Park Sung Hoon will portray another villain character in the second installment of the Netflix series.
