Goo Hye Sun talked about romance and revealed why she is not open to dating.

Best known for her roles as Geum Jan Di in "Boys Over Flowers," and Yoon Soo Wan in "Angel Eyes," the actress' personal life, especially her romance with Ahn Jae Hyun became the talk of the town in 2015.

The two first met on the set of the K-drama "Blood," where they played the lead stars.

Following the drama's production, the duo were frequently spotted together, raising speculations about their relationship.

Then, they confirmed their romance in 2016, and tied the knot in the same year on Jeju Island.

Unfortunately, their love story ended after Ahn Jae Hyun filed for divorce in 2019. Their marriage went rocky, with the cheating accusations thrown at the actor.

Years after the divorce, Goo Hye Sun talked about her current relationship status.

During her guest appearance in ENA's "Hype Boy Scout," the actress, who recently graduated from a university, was asked about her love life.

The 41-year-old beauty went honest and said that she is "not currently dating." According to her, she doesn't "have any plans to date in the future."

While she is much older than her classmates, the actress was asked if there were any students who had shown interest in her.

"There weren't many. There were some, but I think they did it because they were young. I once seriously explained to those friends why we should never date."

Goo Hye Sun also shared her honest thoughts about romance and dating.

She revealed that the reason she is not prioritizing love right now is because of how she sees herself whenever she's in a relationship.

"Sometimes, when you're in a relationship, you don't feel like yourself. Dating in itself can sometimes be stressful."

What's Next for Goo Hye Sun?

Although Goo Hye Sun is on her on-screen hiatus, she is focusing on her career behind the camera.

Following her absence as an actress, she returned to the university, where she got a degree in filmmaking.

Among her projects as screenwriter and director are the short film "The Madonna," which is her first work, and her recent film "Dark Yellow," which got nominated for the Asia competition at Japan's Short Shorts Film Festival and Asia 2022.

As mentioned by a report, Goo Hye Sun explained that the short film focuses on the woman's perspective and deals "with subjects such as our inferiority complex and vulnerabilities."

Interestingly, other than being a being a screenwriter and director, she is also an author and musician.

In 2022, Goo Hye Sun released a New Age piano album as she honored her 20th anniversary of her debut.
